Holiday Rant
Bad rant: Still sick. Petey's feeling better. I'm happy because he's a pain when he's sick. I'm still my normal self, but NOOOO he has to be pitiful. How can men get away with that? I'm still sneezing, stuffed-up and have a runny nose. Doc said I can take Tylenol sinus (THANK GOODNESS) so I'm picking some up today after work. I thought I just had to tuff it out.
Good rant: Had a follow-up appointment with doc after surgery and she said I looked good. YIPPEE! I was expecting her to get on me for: 1. going walking/shopping all day Saturday 2. wearing three inch high heels yesterday and 3. not resting enough. But I'm good!
She did say that someone must be watching over us, because we caught this "problem" in time before anything bad happened. I know one sister of a friend that lost her baby in the 5th month due to an incompetent cervix. So sad. As my previous post noted, I do believe we have many relatives looking out for us up above. Pa-Paw wanted us to have our George nice and healthy. And God too.
Other rant: I don't feel like I'm doing enough with my holiday season. Due to my surgery I lost a weekend to be with the hustle-and-bustle, and then this past weekend was all catching up. Now we are sick and still can't do a whole lot. I have a few things I want to accomplish before 2007 like hear carolers, take a carriage ride, drink hot apple cider at 8pm while shopping and go to the Galleria Mall and see the big tree. We also haven't seen any really good Christmas lights yet, so I want to do that too. I think I'm just going to have to buckle down and make Petey go. I also need to start listening to my 80's Christmas CD. That always gets me in the mood.
Last rant: Wrapping presents sucks. I'm too anal and then I get exhausted about it and give up. Then I complain and say "NEXT YEAR EVERYONE IS GETTING THEIR PRESENT IN A BAG!" That should solve a few problems.
If anyone wants to get me a cheap present, I need a new hot glue gun. I've taken my mother's and it's starting to fall apart. I need glue sticks too. And someone to make good bows for the presents. And someone to wrap the presents.
It never ends.
