Looking for homes in all the wrong places

Petey and I have been looking for a new home since Jan. 1. And as the days have gone on, our money situation has gotten better. So you would think that finding a new home for the 4 (yes, I'm including the dog) of us would get easy?

Hell freaking no.

The owners of one house we made an offer on decided to completely take the house off of the market. They didn't even bother to negotiate with us. They took their ball and went home.

Another house we looked at and liked sold 3 days after we looked at it. Another house I wanted to look at today sold yesterday.

I thought it was supposed to be a buyer's market?

Maybe I'm too picky.

This is just a pain. And we haven't even gotten to the whole rig-a-ma-roo of inspections, financing, signing, packing, moving, etc. Thank goodness I don't have to sell my house too!

No wonder people do this every 10 years or so.

To show my insanity

George Thomas and I are taking a trip together...alone...on a plane.

Yep, flying with my 10 month old son. Have I lost my mind???

Luckily, the flight is only short, so the torture (to him or me?) will not last forever.

It's just the packing, bringing, driving to the airport, waiting in the line to get his special boarding pass, waiting in the security line, declaring his food & formula at security, feeding the baby at the gate, gate-checking the stroller, boarding the plane, getting a seat, making a bottle and then giving it to him at the right time so his ears don't hurt.

And then I have to do it all over again the next day.

I am and am not looking forward to this.

I wish they made girl scout badges for flying with an infant. Oh well, I'll just indulge in a box of cookies after I'm done.
