Feeling Faint

Dear baby,

I apologize for making you stand up and hold a video camera during your big brother's "graduation" from his 2 year old class, but could you give me some warning before you decide to suck all the blood from my body and make me go dizzy? If this is the relationship we are having now, I can only imagine how this summer is going to go. I promise to fill your belly with whatever you want, so if you could just let me know *what* you would like to have, I would appreciate it.

Love,
Momma

Belly of Mine...

My belly is kinda disformed. It's getting better, but last week (at 9 weeks) it was kinda funny looking. If you look down on my belly, it looks rippled and mushy. Not smooth like butta.

I attribute this to my fat being pushed out to the top of my belly to make room for a baby. So until the fat gets evenly distributed in other areas of my body (which it's working on now), I will have a ripply, mushy, disformed belly. (please give me other words to describe this, k thx!)

The good news is, I'm the only one that can tell.

My boy is "graduating" from the 2 year old class tomorrow at MBS. I can't wait to see what little songs my ham is going to sing at school. I'll be the mother with the video camera in the front of the room.

Fifth Disease

GT has it. I could have it. The new baby could have it.

(Sidenote - I need a nickname for this new baby.)

So I'm getting my blood drawn next week to see if I do have it.

And if so, then another reason to carefully watch this pregnancy.

The insufficient cervix wasn't enough. It was insufficient! The morning sickness is insufficient too so it's decided to be an all day sickness!

10 weeks tomorrow. 2 1/2 months! Yahoo!

Fatigue. (I guess emphasis on FAT?)

Holy sh*t could I BE more tired? (that said in my best Chandler Bing voice).

Seriously. I don't know if it's the 45 minute drive home that throws me for a loop, or the crap I eat for lunch, or the fact that I'm GROWING ANOTHER PERSON but I just can't function after 6pm.

I'm surprised my family gets fed, my clothes get washed and my house gets cleaned, because I'm so tired to do anything I can barely get off of the couch. The guilt gets me up and doing things. It's really not fair to my son that his momma is so exhausted she can't play with him. Poor boy. (I'll be saying that a lot)

So hopefully this fatigue will pass soon. Today I am 9 weeks 2 days and ready to be out of the first trimester. Maybe eventually I will stay up for the 10pm news, but I doubt it seriously.

Introducing...Hendricks Baby #2 at 8 weeks, 5 days old. You can see his/her little arm buds and leg buds. The baby is not yet an inch long but making me sick as hell. Every morning I get to wake up, get out of bed, and throw up. Oh the joy of pregnancy.

Heartbeat was a strong 162 (GT's was 167 at 8 weeks) and it was so much fun to hear that sound again. I think Petey & I both caught our breath when we heard it.
It's real now. We are back playing in the game that we love. We are so excited. I can't wait to smell the smell of "new skin" on this baby. George Thomas lost that smell a while ago when he started to smell like wet puppy dog and pee. Poor boy.
Anyway, we are back in the saddle again and ready for the ride!

Kids Say the Darndest Things

Went to Muffins for Moms today at GT's school. We ate muffins, cupcakes, sang songs, made a bumblebee craft and had a really good time together.

Each child was given a flower to give to their mother. GT got his and his teacher told him to tell me "Happy Mother's Day."

The boy came up to me, flowers in hand, and said:

"Happy Monsters Day Momma"

I laughed so hard I started crying. I gave him the biggest hug and kiss and said

"Thank you bubba, I love you."

What a great Mother's Day.
